Budget rollover problems

The budget rollover feature does not seem to work properly. Example: I created a new budget this year. One category had a budget amount of $450. In January, I spent $310 in this category, so when I rolled over to February, the new budget amount was $590 (450 -310 + 450). In February, I spent $520 in this category. When I rolled over to March, I would have expected the new budget amount to be $520 (590 - 520 + 450). Instead, my new budget amount for March is $660 (590 - 520 + 590). That is clearly not how a rollover budget should work, it doesn't even make any financial or accounting sense.

The other problem with budget rollover is whenever a budget category rolls over negative, it disappears from reports. Not good.

Nearly two and a half months later and no response? I guess there's no support for budgeting issues. Cool.

I guess ticket #4615 addresses this issue. Is there any news about the planning to pick this up by the development staff?

I've been asking on this for almost 1.5 years and this is very frustrating. I used migrated over here from ynab and this kinda screwed my budgeting habits.
