You can exclude and include any account so I must not be understanding the question.

mhoggietag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/469117822019-02-04T13:49:53Z2019-02-04T13:49:53Zexclude some accounts from budget

the question is: how do I do it? Want to know how I can exclude, for example, one checking account while leaving a second checking account included in the budget calculations.
At this moment, when I create a budget, your SW autofills the categories with numbers from all checking, saving, investment accounts

OK, you just don't want the budget pick up any activity for a specific account. I can see the need for that especially if you are sharing MD with a business or another person. You could always create another data file for the other accounts which would accomplish that, or if you want to keep everything in one data file, you could create additional categories for the other account to use. Just simply go to Tools Categories, and add supplemental categories that the other account can use. i.e. you could got to AUTO, Fuel and add another category below AUTO like Fuel-B. Then just select the specific categories you want to include for the Budget. You could also have another Budget for the other account using the additional categories. Oh yes, but the way, be aware that you can't budget loan or credit card payments if they are also built in MD. IK considers that an account to account transfer and they don't pick up the activity in the Budgeting feature. But there are special methods to do just that. Search the discussions for budgeting loans and you will find the details.

mhoggie
