    Hi Mark,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

Which version and build of Moneydance are you using?
To check, open Moneydance and select Moneydance --> About Moneydance

Which budget format are you using?

Would it be possible to see a screenshot of the issue?
If required, you can read instructions for taking a screenshot here:

Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay getting back to you. I’m afraid that your last reply was missed by the support team, and it’s only now we’ve been able to work through the backlog of older discussions.

With the 'Newer' format budget, the entire amount is still stored, and can be seen by double clicking on the entered amount. It's just not displayed in an effort to keep the interface clearer.
The new format is a different way of looking at the budgets. It is simpler overall, many of our customers prefer this to the older but more flexible system.

If you'd prefer to see the entire figure, I'd recommend using the 'Mixed Interval' budget format. You can read about both budget types in this article.

Please accept my apologies again for the delayed response.

Unfortunately not. You should recreate it, as described here.

Go to Tools —> Budget Manager, and select ‘New’. You can then enter the budget name and select the ‘period’.

Selecting Mixed Interval will create a budget, which can have categories with different time intervals.
Using this budget type, you can amend the start and end date for each budget item, and they're not set as the specific month/year etc.

Please note the budget feature picks up all expenses based upon the categories used. So you could not limit the budget to one account for instance, unless you built a separate set of categories to only be used by that account.

Using the Foresight feature under the Tools tab on the other hand, will allow you to predict your future balances for just one account based upon your current balance and your reminders.
For further information please refer to this article of the Knowledge Base.

I already have a budget for the year
If I do as you suggest I will have to scrap and redo
There must be an easier solution such as you creating a program to eliminate Pennie’s from the budgets?
