No budget link in the Sidebar
I followed the instruction to create a new budget but, one the budget was created and I closed the window, I could not find in the left sidebar any link to open and edit the just created budget.
Anu idea of what I am missing?

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

Click on the + sign at the bottom of the task bar and see if the budget is one of the items you can add.
