Is there a way to link my dividend and interest income transactions to the categories "_divinc" and "_intinc"? Now when I select dividend or dividend reinvest or miscellaneous income with the descriptor "Interest Income", the category default is "accruedint", and i have to select the category and scroll to select the "_divinc" or "_intinc". Advise if I can set up an automtic categroy as desired for my interes income and dividend income transactions.

Those are the names that Quicken uses.

Moneydance does not have a list that you can maintain to set the association. What should happen is, over time Moneydance should learn the association from what you set and then suggest the correct one it does this from transaction entered in the register.

The category default ius your first alphabetical category - in this case accruedint

You can change that default for each account by using account/edit - I tend to use Anything, Others use Uncategorized

In moneydance I have the list that includes the "_divinc" and "_intinc" as
I have to select the default category "accruedint" and then scroll to the
right category noted above. Do I have that list because I converted a
couple of years transactions from Quicken? Even if that is the case what
is the process to use "accountedit" to change the default?
