Automatic downloads cannot be done with Australian banks. None of them support direct connect. They all provide downloadable transaction files from their Internet banking sites - usually in QIF or CSV formats these can be imported into Moneydance.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/470324682019-03-05T02:41:46Z2019-03-05T02:41:47Zestablishing a bank connection

thanks for the information, but I"ve just started Moneydance. How do I download transactions?

Susanne Jamestag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/470324682019-03-05T03:32:09Z2019-03-05T03:32:09Zestablishing a bank connection

You login to your banks internet banking website then it is often a case of looking around to see how your specific bank has done it.

For example Westpac has published a FAQ on how to do it:

https://www.westpac.com.au/business-banking/online-banking/support-...

On the Moneydance side they have a knowledge base article:
