Hi Patty,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
It appears TrueSky Credit Union do support Direct Connect. We will create a connection with this bank, and we'll email to confirm when the connection is available within Moneydance.
As for Arvest Bank, State Farm Federal Credit Union, & Dodge and Cox Funds,
unfortunately they don't support this connection method. If they begin to support Direct Connect at any point, we'd be happy to establish a connection with them.
Moneydance only supports automatic downloads using Direct Connect, and
these banks may use other connection methods that Moneydance does not support, called Web Connect and Express Web Connect.
By only using Direct Connect, we can guarantee that your username, password and financial data only ever exists with your bank or on your own personal computer, and at no point are your details stored on another server.
You can read more about why we only support this connection type in our blog and also in this article.
Without Direct Connect, you are still able to easily import your data into the program. The best way to get your transactions into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download files from your bank's web site.
We'd recommend you download using the OFX or QFX file format if available. If not, use the QIF file format. (These files are sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files). You can import the files to Moneydance using File --> Import.
The steps for manually importing your data are outlined in this article from the knowledge base.
Moneydance 2019 includes en embedded browser (currently a beta feature) that makes downloading from the banks website much easier. We're also working on another feature (coming soon) that will remember how you download from the banks site and help to automate the manual import process.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.

Thanks, Maddy!
I’m on the Board of River Region Credit Union. I know RRCU supports Direct Connect for Quicken because my father has used it for years. What can I do to get them to support Direct Connect for Moneydance? Who needs to talk with whom, or what information do you need from them, or who do they contact, specifically?
Thanks!

There are two methods that personal finance software can use to access your accounts: direct connect and web connect. With web connect, the software basically connects to your bank's website and downloads and imports OFX, QFX, QIF, and OFC files automatically.
Direct connect actually connects to a server at your bank instead of their website and usually requires different login credentials than you would use to log into your banks website. From a user's perspective, these two connections look basically identical. Moneydance only supports automatic connections through direct connect and not web connect. RRCU is using web connect with Quicken.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
