After some headaches with converting accounts over I've gotten all that cleaned up and looking good. I've got one of my two financial institutions connected (member #, not account login was the trick for USAA). The other institution is Amplify Credit Union. I was able to confirm with their support that they do support Direct Connect (see below). The link to their site is also below. What steps do I need to do in order to connect the account to be able to download/update transactions?

Secondary question, is there a way to have the software automatically connect daily/weekly to grab new transactions or do I have to kick it off manually for the downloads?

8:29:58 a.m.is that currently supported?
8:32:07 a.m.my current Quicken is currently using express web connect which is the less secured version I believe
8:33:48 a.m.One moment, let me confirm if we support Direct Connect.
9:00:14 a.m.I'm so sorry for the extended wait time. I was able to find out that we are compatible.

Dale Sinestag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481074242020-02-21T16:21:54Z2020-02-21T16:21:54ZAmplify Credit Union (Direct Connect is supported)

Hi Dale,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

Moneydance only supports automatic downloads using Direct Connect, and unfortunately Amplify Credit Union don't support this connection method. If they begin to support Direct Connect at any point, we'd be happy to establish a connection with them.

Amplify Credit Union may use other connection methods that Moneydance does not support, called Web Connect and Express Web Connect.
By only using Direct Connect, we can guarantee that your username, password and financial data only ever exists with your bank or on your own personal computer, and at no point are your details stored on another server.
You can read more about why we only support this connection type in our blog and also in this article.

Without Direct Connect, you are still able to easily import your data into the program. The best way to get your transactions into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download files from your bank's web site.

We'd recommend you download using the OFX or QFX file format if available. If not, use the QIF file format. (These files are sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files). You can import the files to Moneydance using File --> Import.
The steps for manually importing your data are outlined in this article from the knowledge base.

Moneydance 2019 includes en embedded browser (currently a beta feature) that makes downloading from the banks website much easier. We're also working on another feature (coming soon) that will remember how you download from the banks site and help to automate the manual import process.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.

Last night when I attempted to login via the in-program browser, the browser would not render the popup window that pops up when you hit login.

Dale Sinestag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481074242020-02-21T19:54:55Z2020-02-21T19:54:55ZAmplify Credit Union (Direct Connect is supported)

I'm a fellow user.

The inbuilt browser is still very much a feature in development, there are many banks it does not work with. I understand is was made active in 2019 to solicit feedback.

dwg
