Hi there,

It would be nice to have a connection to AMEX savings.

PS: In case anyone is interested, they have a great interest rate.

   You can connect to American Express Savings via Moneydance+ ... Amex Savings has never worked with OFX Direct Connect.

   You can also download activity by going to "PDF Statements", but instead of the statements, you go to "Download Transactions" pick a date range, then download in Quicken format (which is QFX/OFX)

   How were you able to connect Moneydance+ to Amex? I have two credit accounts and the High Yield savings account. All three are visible when I sign into the account, but the savings account does not show up in my Moneydance+ connections window. I would be interested if there is an automatic way to download transactions.

   With the high yield savings account, I used American Express - Personal Savings in Plaid, and my account came up and I then connected to it. [Type American Express - Personal for the search, it doesn't come up easy]

   (Amex Savings has never worked with OFX)

   For the credit cards, I still use OFX. Moneydance disabled Amex from their OFX list, but it does still work for now. So I can't speak for MD+ with Amex, as I always use OFX when I can.

   I'll try to dig up the link on how you can create your own Amex OFX download profile, if you wish.

   Thanks for your followup. I did try to link the account through Plaid, but after going through the reCapta process, I was told my credentials are not valid. I am a longtime Amex user, and I connected my existing account to the Savings pages when I first applied for the Savings account. This must be some sort of bug in how Amex handles verification. I like the convenience of the Moneydance+/Plaid automation, and this is one of the few accounts (along with AppleCard) that I’ve not been able to properly link.

   The good news is I don’t do a lot of transactions in the Savings account, so I have no problem with manual entry and reconciliation.

   I have linked my Amex savings - so maybe it is about permissions or 2FA issues. Just saying it CAN work, but may be too much trouble for a low usage account.
