Several years back USAA could not provide on line transaction transfers and I resorted to manual entry. I see now that USAA is offering a CSV file download but they have a multi step question that I have to fill on each download about field identification and comma denominations, etc that are sadly beyond my experience. Can you provide the step by step info I need to answer those questions and invoke on line data CSV into my MD please !!

I suspect you already have this but if necessary I can make the several screen grabs necessary to show you their questions.

As always, thanks for many years of answers.

Your library supplied the kind of info I need, but offered a bunch of alternatives and tests.. I'm hoping you can give me a "most likely" set of answers and I could then do a test download of only one day to see if it works.. Please .....

just a user - probably the reason you see so many alternatives (i.e. OFX, MD+, CSV downloads, manual entry) is that USAA went through a process where quite a bit of work was needed to keep it working.

Recently, the "answers" became MD+, CSV, and manual entry, rendering those earlier alternatives less relevant.

For CSV, you can use the built in CSV importer or the extension CSV importer (which has more options to save specific settings). I recommend the extenstion CSV importer for USAA.

As to instructions, the recent "Is USAA failing for you?" thread discusses some of the methodologies to do a good quality, continuous, CSV import. The following message in that thread (#38) might be a good place to start.
