    Hi Andy,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

After creating your local account within Moneydance and the account name is listed in the left side bar, you can proceed connecting your account with Moneydance + by following the steps in this article of the Knowledge Base.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

Direct Connect and Moneydance+ provides for download from those organsiations that provide the banking and payment processing services.

I'm assuming you pay for goods from Amazon using a credit card, so any download from the credit card provider (bank) would have those transactions.

Sorry - that is not the case... all the credit cards do is show you a purchase from amazon it does not categorize those purchases. Right ??? of course. Moreover, three items purchased from Amazon will yield only ONE credit card purchase. So can I ask you to please answer the question asked which is... "Do you have a process for downloading through plaid my amazon purchases - like I have with Chase or Amex"

It is a simple yes or no answer. I suspect it is no from all the back and forth - just looking for the answer. Andy Thanks

I don't think you are distinguishing between getting information from a bank versus a "store". You state, "Three items will yield only one credit card purchase." Correct. If you expect the three separate purchases to magically appear in some kind of downloaded format into Moneydance, then, no, that doesn't happen.

So given that, indeed the answer is "no". Stores don't have connections where they will separately download purchases in any format that would be automatically placed into any personal finance program.

I can think of one exception - Amazon's Vine program allows one to get product and then review it. Amazon sends a 1099-NEC to participants and to document that 1099-NEC, allows a list downloaded via PDF or excel. From excel, you could create a CSV file which you could upload to something called like "Vine Purchases" - but that is still a fairly manual process.

If you allow for 3 items is one credit card purchase, and place all your amazon purchase on one Chase Amazon Card, or maybe an internal Amazon card, you could at least get a set of transactions that encompass your purchases, but no, if you want each item separated out and listed, you do that manually.

If you use multiple credit card purchases for Amazon purchases, you can upload those, then use a report to separate out Amazon items, but again, no, you won't see all three items that are in one purchase.

So, again, the answer to your question is "no". You don't separate the concept of a store versus a credit card in receiving that answer, so I've distinguished the two for you.

To clarify: Amazon.com Store Card - https://amazon.syf.com, support linking with Moneydance + via Plaid as Chase and Amex.

Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
