I would like to put a password on the program so anyone using the computer can not see our files. Also, we put moneydance on this new computer and I thought I had saved our data from before on an external hard drive but it was only the application. Is there anyway to retrieve that data?

    Hi Rose,

Look to the following Moneydance KB article for instructions on password-protecting your data file.

If you have access to the computer that you had Moneydance on before then you should be able to access the data.

    Hello Rose,

To add to the above information, if you're not sure where you were saving your data, it was likely in the default file location, described at: As Kevin suggested, it should still be there, if you still have access to that computer.
