Editing a large # of records.
Hi There,
I just realized that I recorded a LARGE number of transactions that I'd like to change the payee field..
Example:
I have many transactions that the payee is "INCOME". when in fact they should be
"Bank1" "Bank2" "Bank3......................
The transactions do in fact have a couple of different categories, which are correct. It's just that the the payee field should have the correct payee, "Bankn" not the name "INCOME".
I know that I can find all the transactions, an change them one by one. It's just that I'm lookin for a way to batch change records.
I thought about Exporting to EXCEL, making changes then IMPORTING then back to MD, but that sounds real scary to me.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance
Phil M
