With "reports and graphs", I generate a very nice pie or line image with percentages of these catagories - but I need a REPORT. That is Numbers: for Each expense catagory I checked, totals for that catageory in the past year, and specific checks paid within that expense catagory. For example: "year 2020: Donations total : $xx,xxx.xx, Charity1 $x,xxx, Charity 2 $xxx Medical Expenses: Total $xx,xxx. Med expense 1 $x,xxx, Med expense2 ... You get the idea. Please let me know how to generate such a report.
Many thanks.

Scroll down the list of available Graphs & Reports, past the ones showing a miniature graph icon, to the ones lower down that look like a clip board.

I think that is what you require. You can select to Show just expenses, just income or both.

I ran into a similar issue myself and I found the only report where you can run where all transactions are subtotaled by category is the "Transaction Filter" report. But you can't filter out categories you don't want to see, unless you use and set the Tag for those transactions. But if you want the report to only include certain categories and have everything in the same report, you could use the "Find and Replace" extension to find the transactions in those categories and then add a tag. Then when you run the report you could filter by tag and only get those tagged categories subtotaled by category and the one tidy report for your CPA

mhoggietag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/489761622021-01-18T00:25:51Z2021-01-18T00:25:51ZCreate REPORT numbers (Not graph)

Many thanks!

psilversmithtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/489761622021-01-18T00:26:12Z2021-01-18T00:26:12ZCreate REPORT numbers (Not graph)

Many thanks!
