You should have a "Generate" Button on the far right bottom. Maybe its off the side. Or the window is too small

mhoggietag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/490086422021-02-02T00:40:09Z2021-02-02T00:40:09ZTax report

From: sprimost (just a user)

Did you mark "tax related" for each income and expense report category
that you wanted to include in the report?

The alternative is to create an income and expense report by slecting
the individual accounts and categories (income and expense) you want
shown in the report.

I have also tried to create an income and expense report by selecting individual accounts and categories. After I do so I expect to see “OK” or “Create” at the bottom of the screen. Nothing. so the alternative is to click on the “enter” or “return” button after I make my selections. Still nothing. I did manage to get an" income and expense - details report" on my rentals. I clicked “enter" after making my selections and it worked that time.

Bill & Loretta'stag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/490086422021-02-04T23:33:59Z2021-02-04T23:33:59ZTax report

Can you see a blank button at the bottom of the report? There is a bug that turns the ok to blank square. Perhaps send a screenshot of your screen?

Okay, let's start again..... How to create an income and expense report
showing the details of selected transactions related to tax:

Under the types of reports, select - Income and Expenses, Detailed. This
will generate a general report, but can be configured: On the upper
right select "Edit"
For Date, select, from the drop-down menu, either "This Year" or "Last Year" For either one, you will need to enter a Start Date and and End Date.
For Source Accounts, you will need to click on "Select" and choose which accounts (like checking) you have entered transactions. I usually
do Checking and all of my credit cards, but you may have more.
You can experiment with any or all of the following three selections. For Filter by Tag, selecting "Only Tax Related" means that you have set up the expense or income as "tax related" If you don't remember
doing it, then you probably did not! You can experiment with "Inclue
Liability..." but it may not be necessary.
For Select (this is how to choose which income and expense accounts to display/print), you can do "All" and see everything for the whole year)
or Type (Income / Expense) What I do is Show and click "By Individual"
and then select whatever income and expense categories you want to show.

When you are done, select OK box on the bottom right. You should now get
a detailed report by Category and sub-category showing date, Account
(Source Account), Description, and Amount, totaled.

That is it......hope this helps

The big issue that I have is that none of the screens that come up in trying to create a report have OK at the bottom. Only cancel. I try the enter/return button and it doesn’t allow the report to be created either. I’m thinking there may be something wrong with software. I gave up and will probably switch back to Quicken. I was hoping Moneydance would be more Mac friendly but apparently not.

Again, Thank you\
