Yes, we do support direct connect for Wells Fargo. You only need to have your bank representative enable your account.

called Wells Fargo Tech support, they said they do NOT support your

How can you help me. I have used Quicken for years, and but yours
seems to work a little better, but I must be able to use direct connect.

Ken, Wells Fargo is compatible with Moneydance but Wells Fargo customer representatives are not aware that it is. Setting up a connection to a Wells Fargo account should be a matter of taking the following steps: 1) select the account in Moneydance 2) click the Online->Setup Online Banking button/menu 3) click the "New Connection" button and select Wells Fargo from the list of banks 4) click the "Next" button to select the account in Moneydance that should be connected (from step #1) 5) The next step depends on the configuration of the Wells Fargo service, but I believe you will be asked to enter your routing number and account number, which should have been provided to you by Wells Fargo.

Please also keep in mind that your account at Wells Fargo should be enabled for direct OFX connections. Since your customer support representative will not know about Moneydance, just ask them to configure the account to allow direct connections from Quicken 2008 for Windows. Because Moneydance uses the same protocols, it will work just fine. Once your account is enabled for direct ofx connections they will issue you a password and userid. It may or may not be the same as the id you use to login to their website.

After I sent this to you, I called them back again -- what they meant
to say was that they are not familiar with your program and do not
offer tech support for it. OK So I pressured the tech guy to walk
with me thru the set up. I already am set up with them for quicken,
it was just a matter of using the right passwords in the right
places. I have made it work for my main checking account.

What is strange but may solve itself tomorrow is that when I
downloaded transactions it only pulled down everything but the last
couple weeks. I will see what happens tomorrow. I have sent a check
and it seemed to work fine.

When I write checks, am I online doing that, or do I write them off
    line and bulk send?

Ken, Are your downloads working properly now? Do you mean checks that are sent via Wells Fargo online bill paying service or checks that you print out on your printer?

My downloads are perfect -- quicker than with Quicken. I have written
checks, the program shows them as "will process" which I presume
means they go out fine. The earliest one should have arrived at the
vendor today, so assuming it clears in a few days, all is PERFECT.

I have worked thru and cleaned up most accounts, the transfer over
from quicken did some weird things, nothing that can not be solved.
Now I am working thru setting up loan payments.

Thanks for all the help -- you folks have been great!!
