Hi

I use the above to track spending for example Gas and electric and I have noticed that my deposits are shown in red as a minus ie £-100.00 and payments are shown as £75.00 black with a total £-200.00 even through it show a positive £200

any idea what I have done wrong and how to rectify this

Many thanks in advance

    Hello,

Could you attach a screenshot of what you are seeing, so we can have a better idea of what you describe? Please also include another screenshot of the settings window for this report. If you're not sure how to take a screenshot, please see http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/

One guess is that you've set up a report to display the information from the category side of your register, as opposed to displaying from the perspective of your main bank register like you're used to. That would make everything appear backwards, because you're looking at the category register, where payments from your bank register into it would appear as positive values. You may want to instead consider the Income and Expense reports, set to display only specific categories.

    Hi Ethan

As requested please see below. The red numbers are deposits and the black debit and the -£4,876 in my head should be black as a positive. It seems they are the wrong way round

    Kind regards
