"Export Backup" on my Mac is way too fast

Dear Moneydance:

When I use the "export backup" function on my Macbook Pro, it only takes about 2 seconds to complete the backup with the message "Your data was exported successfully".
It appears to me that the (backup) file does indeed exist. As an example, I just did an export, and there is a file in my Moneydance Data Folder entitled: Frank's Finances-20240517-0953.moneydancearchive. that is 13.74MB in size.

So, it looks OK, but I worry. I don't understand how it can do the backup so fast. If/when I ever need the backup, I want to be sure it is valid.

Any thoughts?
Thank you,
Frank

Just do file / restore backup and check that it’s all ok. Then use file/open to open your original live dataset.

and you can delete the restored file after your testing.

When you restore a backup it does not overwrite it creates a new file with the backup date appended to the name.

If you are syncing, UNCLICK the "do you want to use this restored file to continue syncing"
