Swiss payment
Hello
Can you please tell me why the Swiss have to pay almost twice as much for the same product, instead of US and EU customers.
Check out the screenshots.
Best regards.
Tom

There are two factors that come into the final price calculation, the first is the exchange rate. The second is any local taxes, like sales tax, GST, VAT etc are added after the currency is converted.

Thank you very much for your feedback.
Let's be honest, first and foremost, the Swiss are very wealthy, average
wages of over 8,0000 CHF, which of course does not apply to the Swiss
worker, who does not earn more than half the average. I am disappointed in
them, because the Germans have to pay almost the same price as in the USA,
although they have a higher tax rate than the Swiss. In addition, I am also
very disappointed about their justification of the other taxations and will
therefore have to decide on another product due to the forced masses.
With best regards.

First, the US price is no longer $49.99 - It is $65
CHF = 59.48
EUR = 59.92
You seem to know the final price for CHF as 70.26,
I checked Zurich and it says 60 + VAT 4.86
I checked a Euro Germany location and it says 60 + VAT 11.40
So I think your "twice as much" scenario is misplaced, and you are basing it on old picture data.
Hope that helps.

Thank you for your efforts.
The attached screenshots are taken from their website today using country
VPN.
The price information was given by her website and I didn't put it right
for me. Nevertheless, it is too expensive for me, as I only wanted to use
them as budget and account management and also with graphical chart of the
inputs and outputs of the balances. Thanks anyway.
With best wishes.

Well, I'd like to know where you got the $49.99 price for Moneydance at this website as the price changed some time ago.
Thank you.
My prices were also from country VPN.

Given it is from today, could you show the breakdown for CHF 70.26, versus Zurich's 60 + VAT 4.86 ?
Also I don't see a final MD price for Euro German, which I did provide.
Thanks. I'm not trying to badger, I am trying to learn more about the multi-country pricing system myself.

Well, of course you compare... In Switzerland, taxes are different. I don’t argue that they are big in the USA too. I somehow created an application to understand what the price could be in different countries without taxes. I delved into the field of fintech software development for a long time, and finally found https://dashdevs.com/fintech-software-development/ for this. First of all, the Swiss will not notice that they paid twice as much. All because their salaries are higher.

Hello,
if you had read the history, it would have been obvious to you that workers never have a high wage in their lives, as the average of the top ten thousand does. The average wage of a Swiss citizen is never as high as the statistics indicate. To put it simply, 3000 & 7000 equals 10000, which in turn results in an average of 5000. So they forget about the high wages that only apply to some. And yes, the standard of living is high and correspondingly expensive. Therefore, you cannot double the price of a product just because the respective country has high wages, that is wrong and misplaced. By the way, I now have my product at a correspondingly good price.
Despite all best wishes and greetings.
Tom
