Moneydance Personal Finance Screen on login
Is there any way to avoid this screen when opening the latest Moneydance?
It only slows the loading of Moneydance.
Thanks

This is exactly the point, it is there to indicate that Moneydance is starting.
Many were concerned that they thought that Moneydance was not doing anything after trying to start the software.

Respectfully disagree as the first screen in older versions brings up the MoneyDance main screen.
What's there not to know that Moneydance is not working?
If there is no choice, it certainly should not slow the loading of the app.
Thanks

just a user,
I like the new MD startup screen. Starting MD would take maybe 20 seconds and I would question if I had clicked it.

"What's there not to know"? If moneydance is working. As mhoggie said, some computers it takes some time to get to the main screen.
Loading all the initialization and extensions takes MUCH longer than throwing up a predefined screen. So "should not slow loading of the app" is that it is barely a blip compared to the rest of the startup process.

It absolutely does not affect the starting up of moneydance in any way. So if it is slower now then you have a different issue. Please grab help/console and upload that here.

I am a firm supporter of the Moneydance splash screen. Knowing Moneydance is in the process of opening especially when using one of my older, slower, computers is a great benefit.

Hi Alan,
I just wanted to mention that I will be adding an option to disable the splash screen in the next update to Moneydance. I appreciate hearing your feedback!
Thanks,
Sean
