Splash screen
Is there any way to avoid the splash screen that was introduced in the latest update? It's perhaps nice to see for the first time, but I don't need or want to see it every time I open the application.

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

It was introduce to provide feed back that indeed you have started Moneydance and is in the process of loading. There is no way of preventing it showing.

I completely agree that it can be a bit annoying, and I'll add a setting to suppress the splash screen.

Having a setting to suppress the splash screen would be great --- and
consistent with other Mac applications that allow/prevent a splash screen.
By the way, I am a long-time user of MoneyDance and I find it to be a great
way to keep track of my finances.

The graphics error on linux should have been fixed, but unfortunately I didn't add the option to disable the splash screen yet.

The graph flashed on first open after the update then the black box
reappeared. Subsequent starts are black box only.
Is there any setting I control at this end?

FYI - Alpha build MD2024.3(5253) has a new preferences setting to disable the splash screen. It's just bug fixes for 2024.3 and is pretty safe (IMHO)...

You may want to install the latest preview and navigate to File->Preferences/Settings->Appearance, where you can 'uncheck' the option Show Splash Screen when Starting
Moneydance 2024.4 (5253) is available to download from this page.
For a full list of improvements in the preview version, please refer to this page.
We recommend overwriting or manually removing the older version.
