Can't download American Express data
Hi there,
When I tried to download my ccard transactions, nothing imports into MD. I tried initiating it on the MD end and nothing new downloads as well. On the Amex website I tried both the Quicken format and Quickbooks format.

Direct Connect downloads (OFX) has been discontinued by American Express.
As for downloading from the Amex Website, Quicken format should download QFX files which you can import into Moneydance.

I tried QFX and nothing imports into my MD account. (it downloads the QFX file but nothing appears in MD)
I also tried double clicking on the QFX file in the file manager. It opens MD but no records import into the Amex account.

Downloading a QFX file is just that - downloading the file. It will not automatically initiate any action (the web browser might ask if the download file needs an association.
This kb article might help with the import:

I have been importing the QFX file into this MD account for YEARS with no issue.
Per your article, I clicked File, Import, and selected the QFX download. NOTHING IMPORTS.
This is not a user error, I am doing the same thing I have done every month for years and the data is not importing.

Open the OFX/QFX file in a text editor and see what data is in the file to start with, then you should know what is to be imported.
