How to edit Chk# entries

Our treasurer types random things into the Chk# field, and it accepts them. Some things she's added are okay but most are not. I want to clean the junk out. Just as an example, she added Bank and bank for bank service charges. I want to delete the second.
<Edit List> at the bottom of the list only shows the top three items, not the things she's typed in. I can't figure out how to access and delete the erroneous items. Thanks in advance for help.

By default the Cheque # list has two components, The fixed permanent items that are in a editable list and a dynamically created list from the transactions in the account. This second list you can only impact it by either selecting to not display it or by editing the transactions in the account.

You can make use of the Find and Replace extension to fix any typos in bulk.

    Hi Tom,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

If you wish to remove/edit an item from the list, all instances where the item has been used must be removed or changed to something else. The Find and Replace extension can help with this.
Once the last instance is removed, the item will disappear from the dropdown list.

Finally, you can refer to this article of the Knowledge Base about the Check Field Entries.

Please keep us posted on your progress, Thank you!

Thank you for the suggestion, but it does not solve the issue. I have
located and changed all the wrong items in individual transactions, but
they still remain in the list.
How do I select not to display the dynamic list?

Thank you. I replied to another comment that this did not work, but it
turned out I had missed some.
Got it all now, and added the ones we want to the permanent list. Our
treasurer DOES know to click the little arrows to bring up the list but
somehow that doesn't stop her from typing whatever she thinks she
needs.... Is there any way to lock that list and prevent random entries?
    Thanks
    Tom
