You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

In the register Cut and Paste works at the field level not at the transaction level.
You can use the duplicate function on the right click menu to make a copy of a transactions and then make any needed changes for a new similar transaction, or you can us batch change if you want to move it to another account.
