Picky detail - reset the transaction entries

This is almost embarrassing, but not quite, knowing how insane it will drive me. I was entering transactions and inadvertently hit some wrong combination of keys (trying not to blame the cat on my lap). Somehow, it made it so that as I'm entering transactions, the Description is being entered right-aligned. Fortunately, when I complete that transaction, it restores to left-aligned like the world should be. I know, it's such a tiny thing, but it's enough to drive my attention-to-detail brain absolutely bonkers. If it helps, it does it when editing a transaction too as shown in the screen shot below.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have a fairly complete list of Moneydance keyboard shortcuts and there is nothing there that I know of to right align text.

I can only think there must be something at the operating system level that has set it.

If you want to eliminate Moneydance itself, I would suggest you rename Moneydance's config.dict file which is in your Moneydance folder then start Moneydance, it will come up as a new install, but at least you can try the operation to prove if Moneydance is involved or not.

You go back to your own config by simply replacing the newly created config.dict with your saved copy.

    Windows or Mac?

    Try

    Ctrl + L

    Windows key + space

It's a MacBook Pro. Might Command + L do the same thing?

You can try it, but I think Command L will bring up the Moneydance split screen.

    Also:

On macOS, there are a few system-wide settings that might affect text alignment:

    1. Change Text Direction via System Shortcut
      • Press Control + Command + Left Arrow (for left-to-right) • Press Control + Command + Right Arrow (for right-to-left)

    2. Check Keyboard Input Sources
      • Go to System Settings → Keyboard → Input Sources • If a right-to-left language (e.g., Arabic, Hebrew) is enabled, macOS might default to RTL in some apps. • Try switching to British or US English input.

Does rebooting the Mac fix it?
