I want to export the check register for use in Excel. Tab-delimited or CSV. I can export the data I need, but there is only one column for Amount that shows both debits and credits. I need to have a column for debits, a column for credits, along with the Balance column. Is there a way to do this?

    Hi Matt,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

You could use the extension Extract Data version 1046. This is available from Extensions->Manage Extensions->Extract Data

This extension is a useful tool aiming to extract your data to screen/csv. Options incl: 'StockGlance2020' investments, Reminders, Account / Investment transactions, Currency History; Attachments.

So, you can download your data to excel where you can filter, sort etc.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

Thank you for your response. I had tried the Extract Data Extension. It has the same limitation as a Transactions report. It only has one column for the transaction amount--shown as either a positive or negative number. I don't think most people use this format when entering amounts in a bank register.

I am attaching some screen shots as to how Extract Data Extension and Transactions report export the data. I am also attaching the desired format with amount columns for Chg/Debit, Dep/Credit, and Balance. This is the format of a normal bank register.

At this time I believe you will have to use formulas in Excel to create the columns you want.
