Delete certain categories

Added a categories by mistake and want to delete this category how do I do this

   Moneydance menu option Tools => Categories

   Select the category to be deleted, right click and select Delete.

   Make sure you have no transactions using that category first or else if you delete the category they get deleted too, or so I believe.

   When I click on tools and categories this is the page that comes up.

   

   There is no delete button that comes up on the bottom of this page. I’m using a Mac with operating system macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 so there is no right click on my track pad. Please advise.

   Hi Rick,
   You could use the minus sign in the bottom left of the window.
   Alternatively, after selecting the category (as you did) Click click and you should see a pop up window with different options, you should choose "Delete Category".
   You should also see a prompt to confirm your choice by typing in the word "yes" (with no quotation marks).
