Safest way to review a backup without restoring it.
I would like to review the state of my accounts before I made a number of recent changes.
I DO NOT want to restore the backup and have it replace the current version. I just want to analyse the differences.
Is there a best way of doing this?
Thanks

Restoring a backup creates a new account set with the date of the backup appended, i.e. it uses the name of the backup file as the name of the created account set, so it does not overwrite anything.
You have to restore a backup before it can be opened in Moneydance.

That worked well.
I had to restore three backups to find the one I wanted.
In the restore process I unchecked the option to keep the sync status of the original file, which meant the restored backups did not go to Dropbox.
When I had finished I went to the Documents folder from the Help menu and deleted them.
Thanks again.

My personal feeling is that not keeping the sync status should be the default. It is the safest option.
