My bank only offers MT940 data format for downloading my statements. Can I load this directly into Moneydance? If not, is there a reliable alternative to get the data into Moneydance?

Thanks for any pointers.

    Hi Kev

Unfortunately Moneydance does not support the MT940 file format. However there are conversion tools available from 3rd parties. Here is a link to a site that offers a free program for converting MT940 files to OFX files.

    http://www.mt2ofx.tk/

They list Moneydance on their site as one of the programs that their software works with. However I have not personally tried or tested this software and am not qualified to offer support on its use. This tool is a native windows program if you are using Linux you might try using it with the WINE emulator. I am not aware of suct of conversion tool available for macs.

Direct Support for MT940 is something that is on a list of potential future features and I have no timeline for when this feature might be implemented.

    Sincerely

    Ben Spencer
