Moneydance can only report based on the data. If there is rubblish being reported it indicates that something is set wrong.
It is unlikely to be all the transactions, so need to look outside that. Typical things are the base currency has been changed, there are some incorrect exchange rates posted.
Currency is one of the bigger causes for such problems.
