investment accounts?

Precision seems to be limited to 4 digits (with truncation
instead of rounding). Over time this error accumulates. . . . and I
never had this problem with quicken.

Example:

My statement says I have 88.380795 shares.

When I enter that number, I see 88.3807 shares in the register
view. Meanwhile, the price seems to have 6 digits of precision
shown.

I realize that precision is limited with floating point numbers
so that eventually things are likely to drift. However, moneydance
seems to be drifting orders of magnitude faster than quicken.

Joe Monacotag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/1771562009-05-23T19:51:11Z2009-05-23T19:51:11ZPrecision of "shares" field in investment accounts

This is not possible in the current version of the program,
however I have passed on your suggestion to our developer who will
consider it for our next release.

I have also created a ticket under our trac system which can be
found here http://moneydance.com/trac/ticket/1891

Thank you for your suggestions for improvements to
Moneydance.

Angie Rauscher
