<p>The instruction you should follow depend on the system you have
and which file you have downloaded.</p>
<p>You could try downloading the Linux installer by clicking the
link from mthe download page that says "Linux installer (x86
processor, includes Java)" and then double-click the
moneydance_linux_x86wj.sh file or run "sh
moneydance_linux_x86wj.sh" from the command line, in the same
directory as the downloaded file. However I have not tried the
linux installer on F11 and given that every linux distribution does
things slightly differently it may not be successful.</p>
<p>If the installer is not successful you will have to install java
separately. I believe that F11 comes with java openjdk if that is
not the case you will need to install it. To determin if you have
java installed on your machine type:</p>
<p>java -version</p>
<p>At the command prompt. If you get a response that give you the
version number then java is already installed. If not I believe
Fedora uses the yum command to install programs so you would type
this at the command prompt:</p>
<p>yum install java-1.6.0-openjdk</p>
<p>Once you have successfully installed java download from the link
that says "Linux (x86 processor, does not include Java) " from this
link http://moneydance.com/other</p>
<p>After the download is finished, double-click the
moneydance_linux_x86.tar.gz file and extract its contents or run
"tar xzf moneydance_linux_x86.tar.gz" from the command line, in the
same directory as the downloaded file. You can then run Moneydance
by double-clicking the "Moneydance" icon in the newly created
folder.</p>
<p>Sincerely</p>
