How do I add new transactions without a download and how does it reconcile when I do download to catch up?

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

Hi Alex,
On the top portion of the register, on the right side, there is a button for "New Transaction'" Click on it to manually enter a txn. When you do download that account data, there should be an option to Merge txns (provided dollar amounts are the same). After merging the 2 txn, you will be able to reconcile as normal.
