The nature of double entry book keeping is that some account
type carry a credit balance and some accounts cary a debit balance.
Liabilities, equity and income carry a credit balance. Assets and
expenses carry a debit balance. What this means is that some
accounts have a positive balance when they have in them and some
have negative balance when they have money in them. I realise this
is highly confusing and it is how the double entry book keeping
system was created by Luca Pacioli, a 15th century monk. Moneydance
attempts to present a user interface that hides the confusion of
the double entry book keeping.

I have created a ticket to display the reverse sigh for this
part of the interface. Here is the link to the ticket:

http://moneydance.com/trac/ticket/2005

If you register and log into trac you can vote on this ticket.
The more votes a ticket gets the more likely it will be
implemented.

Sincerely
