401K contributions as expenses
My wife's 401(k) contributions are withheld from her paychecks. I have her paycheck set up as a split with the 401(k) contribution being transferred to an investment account named 401K. I would like these contributions to show up as an expense item in the Monthly Expenses graph in the lower right corner of the home page. Is there any way to make this happen?

HI David
I am afraid I do not believe this is not possible. Transfering funds from a bank account to an investment account does not lower your net worth as you are not spending money. There for it is not an expense and cannot be recorded as such.
Sincerely

I see what you mean Ben. I was just looking for a way to make that bar graph on the lower right of the home page reflect more accurately where our money goes every month. That sort of question does not correlate very well with accounting principles.
Thanks--
Dave

Hi Dave
Perhaps the cash flow report would go so way to meeting your need.
Ben
