Will the ordinary installer run on a 64 bit Linux PC ?

    Hi

    I am afriad the linux installer comes with 32bit java.

    I recommend downloading from the link "Linux (x86 processor, does not include Java)" as the java runtime needs to be compiled for a 64bit platform. And then install the latest 64bit version of suns java run time using synaptic package manager or apt-get.
