for hiding accounts with a zero balance from within the "edit
account" window. Accounts without a zero balance can be hidden by
being made a "child account" to an account that has a zero balance
(and then hiding that account).

That should solve the problem nicely. :)

sw.foster1tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/3331072009-09-05T19:04:40Z2009-09-05T19:04:40ZHIdden accounts?

I've only just had time to play with doing this, and I must be
doing something very wrong. Here's what I'm doing and what
happens:
1. Under Bank Accounts, create a new account
2. Tell the new account (with zero balance) to be hidden
3. Edit the "virtual savings account" I've set up to be a child of
the hidden account

At this point, the zero balance is no longer zero, so the hidden
account shows up. Can you enlighten me as to what I've missed?

Thanks!

sw.foster1tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/3331072009-09-05T19:52:22Z2009-09-05T19:52:22ZHIdden accounts?

Hi

I am afraid that Brian is incorrect in his assertion "Accounts
without a zero balance can be hidden by being made a 'child
account' to an account that has a zero balance" This is not
possible as the parents accounts balance is the sum of the child
accounts. The only way to hide an account is to ensure that it has
a zero balance.

Sincerely

was doing it right. :S Is the ability to hide accounts perhaps
going to be coming in a future release?

Thanks again.

sw.foster1
