I think it would help support or other to understand your issue if you posted details of your computers operating system, windows ?, Mac ? Linux ?

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/476723252019-09-29T20:47:54Z2019-09-29T20:47:54ZCan't install because there's no longer a zip option

I'm a fellow user.

I assume you are a Mac user as zip file was/is only available on this system as far as I recall, Linux does have gz files but Windows has executables only.

For the latest MD2017 release you can find the files at:

https://infinitekind.com/stabledl/2017.10_1706/

For MD2019 at:

https://infinitekind.com/stabledl/2019.3_1880/

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/476723252019-10-07T03:00:02Z2019-10-07T03:00:03ZCan't install because there's no longer a zip option

Thanks, I think my memory might be a bit at fault here. Apparently it was a tarfile. I did find a slightly updated version on the server, but there's no indication as to why they removed the Unix/generic Linux option nor any indication that they did. The only reason I know about it is that it's what I use.

The last version doesn't appear broken in any way and just requires extraction. I'm not sure what happened in 2018, but the option just disappears without even a note in the change file that the file is being removed.

It's really disappointing when companies hobble the generic option without any clear explanation that they're doing it.

Thomastag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/476723252019-10-07T07:06:26Z2019-10-07T07:06:26ZCan't install because there's no longer a zip option

I believe you will find the .gz file is just a compressed tar.

If a recall correctly the web site was changed around the time of the MD2019 introduction. That itself was no great surprise as MD2019 saw a major upgrade to the version of Java being used, and the later version of Java do not support 32 bit operating systems, hence forcing some changes. It looks as though only the major downloads are linked on the website, I agree it would be nice of there was some sort of link to "other" available kits on the downloads page, if if it was just to the list of the files.

dwg
