I am a relatively new user taking the task over from my husband.
I find the program easy to use and helpful for keeping track of our sometimes complicated transactions.
I find however that I can sometimes introduce errors into accounts that have already been reconciled, or closed.
I keep our working account in yearly files.
Is there some way I can gourds against this?

    I'm a fellow user.

There is no way in Moneydance to lock the file i.e. stop write access. I suspect it would break Moneydance given the way it interacts with files.

Preventing human error is next to impossible, we tend to be far too inventive for our own good :)
