Once you click on 'Done' the transactions that have been marked as reconciling are changed to reconciled, nothing more.

The Differences Value is a calculated value that changes as you mark and un-mark transactions as reconciling. Nothing happens with this value if you exit when the value is non-zero it is being shown for your benefit only.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/479216122019-12-15T17:04:50Z2019-12-15T17:04:50ZClicking "Done" when reconciling when you have a non-zero difference

From sprimost

Not support, just a user

No harm, just a bit of pain in the neck!

Your starting balance for the next reconciliation will not match the
bank's (I am assuming checking but consistent across all accounts) by
that amount. This will be the same as if you forgot to reconcile for the
month.

Sometimes that happens to me because I print the screen (to file with
the bank statement), and the system sometimes interprets the keys to
unclick the transaction. If I click "done", I will go in again with the
adjusted starting balance and enter the real ending balance, "clear" the
transaction, and all is well in the world.

enjoy.
