Hi

I am reviewing Money Dance as a replacement for QuickBooks. A couple of questions I have

1. Is there a way to make category optional ? I do not categorize my checks
2. Is there a way that when I enter a transaction with out a check number to have it default to {print}
3. Anyway to resize the fields on the register ?

Thanks in Advance

    This is my take on your questions.

    1. Moneydance follows accounting rules, hence a category is mandatory. What you can do however, is create a category with say a name like "Uncategorized" and set this to be the default category for an account i.e what category to use if you do select one.

    2. No, I know of no way to do this.

    3. Look at the header row, on the vertical dividing lines in the header you left click with the mouse and you should be able to resize the columns, the familiar double arrow symbol is not displayed for some reason.
