One issue that I have comes across time and time again in personal/standard
finance software packages is that they adopt a formal input method of
entering transactions in that they involve tax code and receipt number when
it was a case of having eight year's records of general transactions i.e.
date,Organisation in question, amount and description of the type of
purchase. In addition to this at the beginning it requests you to set up the
account with the opening balance and date etc.Is it possible to adapt money
dance to these types of accounts in order for you to obtain a graphical
representation of one's history of transactions

Hello,
I had a bit of trouble understanding some of what you wrote, but Moneydance can indeed display a variety of graphs, and you can set up accounts with initial balances. I'm not quite sure I understand the tax code part of the question, but you can enter in such things in the description or memo sections of the transactions as appropriate. If that's not what you were asking, please try to explain your question in more detail, perhaps with a specific example.
If you haven't already, I encourage you to download our free trial version from http://infinitekind.com/downloads and experiment with the program before you decide if you would like to purchase it. The demo version is fully functional and allows you to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not limited, so you'll be able to fully test things like importing from other programs and connections with your bank. If you decide to purchase the program at a later date (from http://infinitekind.com/purchase) you can keep all your data, the license key simply unlocks the ability to manually enter more transactions.
