Quote Loader

I am using the latest version of MD and Quote loader. I want to know that one the stock prices are updated via the quote loader the stock prices in the investment account does not get updated once the quote loader is closed . IS this the way the quote loader works or is there any setup to be done. My friend who is using ACE software tells me that the prices of stocks held are automatically updated . Pls advice

   Hi Shamsu

   There are two methods to update security prices using Quote Loader.
   1. Manual update.
   2. Automatic update.
   For Automatic update to function your computer must be on, Moneydance open and the Quote Loader window closed at each pre-set Date/Time that you have set Quote Loader to run.

   Both methods save prices to your securities history window and thus update the value of your holding in your Investment accounts.

   With the latest build 3025 of Quote Loader you can also select to retrieve historical prices.
