I believe point 3 of the Build 1900 change log is what yo are referring to.

Build 1900 Wed Feb 5 10:41:33 2020

• Change logging for innocuous OFX tag handling to sound less scary
• Date changes on mobile transactions will change both normal and tax dates
• No more drilling down into category registers - it just ends in tears. We'll come up with a better interface.

As to point 3, the only time it’s ended in tears have been when either of us has made a purchase and then forgotten all about it (or then just decided not to mention it to the the other one)! Although, having said that, I have to say the more usual cause has been me miscoding something.

Thanks again

Regards

I believe what Sean is referring to there is that people would drill down into the transactions, and if it is an Income and Expense type report they would end up in the category register and would treat it and make changes as if it was an account register.

Doing that can get ugly very quickly if certain field are changed, to the point when the solution is to restore from backup.

dwg
