exchange in Johannesburg. In the past I have tried to download the
stock prices via the Quotes and Exchange Rates extension, bud did
not have much success as the ticket symbol on Yahoo Finance is not
the correct one. So I have decided to update the stock price
manually.

As you can see from the screen dump I only have two prices in
the price history, but it not what the price chart shows. I have
tried to use the clear all without any success.

Any proposals as to how we get the price chart only show the
prices I can see in the price history?

Uffetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/401238072016-06-17T16:18:58Z2016-06-17T16:18:58ZStock price chart does not show the correct data

I believe this is a currency issue. Is the security, account and
base account in the same currency.

The security is in ZAR and the security account and base
currency is in DKK.

My point is that the chart should not be able to show any
security prices that I cannot see in the price history.

I just tested by updating the current price in the price history
that I can get the price in the chart to move. That tells me that
some how the current price history is stored somewhere in
moneydance, and that is used by the chart and not the price
history.

I see that as a big problem when I cannot maintain that table of
data, because then I cannot correct the price if there was a error
in the pricing. Which there clearly has been two time in this case,
when the price moved over 9000 (multiplying the correct price with
100).

So if you want to keep this secondary table, I as a user need to
be able to maintain it and reset it.

The next interesting question becomes, which of the two table is
used by moneydance when doing calculations related to
securities?

decimal place. Please go to file > preferences. Under file
confirm that decimal is the comma. If this is not the issue there
may be a bug in that the chart is nor recognizing the comma as the
decimal setting.

and decimal place holders and can not replicate this issue.

Does it happen in any other security? Did you import your data
file from another personal fiance software?

Yes, I have seen this happen to other securities, where I have
deleted the price history. It seems as if not all history records
are delete, if the security have had entries in multiple currencies
over time.

I have until now not imported any data from other personal
finance software. I tired it in the past, but it did not give me
the advantage I had hoped for.

For the securities where this occurs, do you own them in other
investment accounts?

stock chart being affected by currency valuation. I think this is
what is causing the chart to be off.
