Updating share prices

I have a small collection of shares, details of which I have entered under 'Investments' in Moneydance but how do I get the share price to update automatically on a scheduled basis?
The prices have been static ever since I entered yjem on the application.

The last line should state that, although share prices have varied on the Stock Exchange, they have not been updated on my Moneydance system.

Have you installed the stock price and exchange rate extension?

You need to have this for automatic price updates.

I have this extension installed and run it, automatically or manually, to
get stock price updates BUT although it updates the currency exchange rates
okay, it appears to have no effect upon the stock prices unless they have
been non-moving for the last 6 months or more (which is just not true!)

    Hi Anthony,

Can you post the name and ticker of an example stock that fails to update?

    BT Group PLC - BT-A
    3i ORD - TGOPF

I have 9 sets of stocks/shares. When I run the extension I get the
    message "*Security
price update complete with 0 skipped, 9 errors and 6 quotes obtained*"
although none of the 9 appears to get updated.

    Hi Anthony,

The Quotes & Exchange Rates updater gleans it's data from Yahoo finance and/or Google Finance.

Yahoo uses ticker BT for BT Group PLC.
    Google uses ticker BT.A

For 3i Group there seems to be several different listings. Take a look on Yahoo finance and Google finance at the ticker TGOPF as it has kind of a strange chart. I'm not sure what to tell you for that one.
