In
my case it seems to say (not well written) that as my default
currency is Euro and the stock price is GB£ then even though
I enter the pice in £ the 'Price' Column in the History
section will show the value in Euros.

Whilst this is roughly true for the entries on 1/12/2016 &
30/11/2016. for the other dates this is manifestly not true. The
£/€ rate has gone low but never that low!!!

ralphtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/413691532016-12-02T13:50:55Z2016-12-02T13:50:55ZStock prices

There is a bug where the security is held in MD in the base
currency rather than the currency selected. I am not sure why the
two days were so off. How are you updating the exchange rate?

The exchange rate is updated using the extension "Quotes and
Exchange Rates" I update the stock price manually.

Do you have a timescale for correcting the bug you mention?

Following from the above I looked at the €/£
exchange rate history and found some crazy values in there! After
these are removed the stock history now looks believable.

I'll be happier if the stock history was stored in the currency
it is entered as though,

I have adopted the methodology of always updating the relevant
exchange rates at the same time as entering new stock prices. This
seems to work around the issue I was seeing.

I'm also having problems with my backups but I'll open a new
ticket for that!

Many thanks for your help
