Security price changes when entering DIVXFR transactions
This is a problem that has emerged on Moneydance 2017. I have a security with a fixed price, $1000 which doesn't change... when I enter a DIVXFR transaction the price of the security changes to $1 and I have to constantly be changing it back. I am unable to change the price of security in the DIVXFR transaction.

You can use
Command ⌘ instead of
Control ^ on Mac

The value should be greyed out.
The value is just a placeholder in the software, neither a Div or a DivXfr transaction have a price associated with them and the "price" shown should not be used anywhere in the software
It has been suggested that MoneyDance should display nothing here nor allow entry of any data.

Exactly... which is why it is so bizarre that every time I enter a DIVXFR
transacion the actual price of the security is changed.

I'm attaching three images which show the problem.

From what you have said it would appear you have two bogus entries in your price history, one on the Mar 12 for 999 and one on Mar 13 for !
I think IK will need to comment the only thing I can think of is something going wrong in the Securities and Exchange rate download extension

I apologize for the late response. This thread was mis-qued.
What version of MD are you using? Help > about MD
If you are using MD 2017 make sure you are on the latest build (1612). You can get that from here: http://infinitekind.com/preview
If that does not resolve the issue, please attach a screen shot of the transaction in the investment register. Is the Dominican Peso you default currency, or are you using multiple currencies?
