The problem still exists in preview build 1618. Come on support, Sean get this fixed. Sean you did a great job fixing the bug the first time it occurred, in double quick time, do it again.

Thanks

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/423019852017-07-06T14:11:13Z2017-07-06T14:11:13ZSecurity Subtypes

Adding to thread for notification. The first time this bug was introduced with a build update Sean fixed it very quickly. Can support bring Sean attention to the fact that the bug is back so he can do the same again.

Thanks

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/423019852017-07-19T12:21:58Z2017-07-19T12:21:58ZSecurity Subtypes

Hi Derek,

Thanks for bringing this bug back to our attention, please accept my apologies for the lack of contact on this discussion. I have raised this Sean and he has indicated that this shouldn't be difficult to implement. As always, I am unable to provide a timescale for the this but it is definitely on Sean's radar and has confirmed he will be looking into replicating and resolving this issue.

I'll be sure to let you know if there is any further information but hopefully when this change has been made and the issue resolved.

I'm almost ready to buy a license, but I really need this feature to be working.

Miketag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/423019852017-07-28T09:50:15Z2017-07-28T09:50:15ZSecurity Subtypes

I am not support, just a user.

I was taking to Sean (lead software developer) on another issue today and took the opportunity to mention the sub-type bug.

So fingers crossed it’s on his radar.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/423019852017-07-28T17:02:56Z2017-07-28T17:02:56ZSecurity Subtypes

A security sub-type actually works and is retained between MD launches - it just does not show in the sub-type menu. You can see this on an "asset allocation" pie graph (in the reports menu).

I have been using MD long enough that I now remember my sub-types so can type one in that is the same as those I have used before. But, it would be nice to have the sub-type window disappearance bug fixed for good.

avp2tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/423019852017-08-02T16:26:46Z2017-08-02T16:26:46ZSecurity Subtypes

I am not support staff, just a user.

It looks like Sean has fixed the Security Sub-Type issue. Newly added Security Sub-Types are now available in the Edit Security window dropdown after Moneydance is reopened.
Thanks Sean for your efforts on this.
Fix is in the latest preview version at https://infinitekind.com/preview

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/423019852017-08-02T19:41:33Z2017-08-02T19:41:33ZSecurity Subtypes

Indeed, the new (1628 for mac) build picked up, and is holding between launches, the sub-types I have in my db.

avp2tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/423019852017-08-03T08:52:06Z2017-08-03T08:52:06ZSecurity Subtypes

Hi All,
