I have been using Moneydance 2014 and want to switch to 2015, but before I do that I have a problem that needs to be dealt with. I have a group of asset accounts which are funds with Fideltity Investments. I set them up as asset accounts. I receive periodic reports of changes up or down in the balance. After posting these changes, they are showing up as payments or deposits in my checking account.

I have not bee able to correct this. If I delete them they totally upset my history.

Thanks for your help. By the way, Moneydance 2015 looks great thus far.

If you look at the transactions in your asset accounts what do you have set as the category on those transactions. I suspect that you have the category set as your checking account. This will cause a transfer to your checking account which is why you see the other side of the transfer in your checking account.

You should change the category to be the relevant income or expense category.
